We kick off the month in 1 Samuel 17 and rediscover the familiar story of David and Goliath. David was the newly anointed king of Israel. He saw that Goliath was bullying God’s people, and he knew that God would help him defeat the giant. Instead of wearing the typical armor, he decided to use what God gave him through his experience as a shepherd. With a rock and a sling, he knocked Goliath to the ground and defeated the Philistines.

Bottom Line: God made you to be you.

In Genesis 12, we find a man named Abram, who eventually we come to know as Abraham, the father of God’s people. But long before that, God called Abraham to go on a journey with many unknowns because of a really BIG promise. Abraham was willing to follow God and go wherever He led. In the end, God made good on each of the promises He made to Abraham.

Bottom Line:  God made you for an adventure.
