“WE’RE MOVING ON UP…”

… the road 2 blocks.

In March of 2007, a small group of adults and kids started meeting in a school to explore what church might look like if it was different. We sang songs from the radio, drank really good coffee, heard teaching that was practical to everyday life, and hoped that other people would show up too. We wanted to reach the people we knew, our communities, the people we live near, and do life with. We didn’t have it all together and didn’t expect anyone else to either. We started for Fishers, and Noblesville, and Carmel, and McCordsville, and Anderson, and Indianapolis… And we’re still going with that same drive.

And Sunday July 13th,  the 386th week we’ve had services at Fall Creek Intermediate School, will be our last at the school! It’s been a stressful and exciting last few weeks of progress out at the Launch Pad and we’re on schedule to make the move next week. We’re on schedule, so next week we’re officially “moving on up…” the road two blocks.  It all started nearly 8 years ago with a dream. The dream is still alive. And will be as we begin the next phase.

Join us SUNDAYS JULY 13 – AUG. 10 @ 9 or 10:30AM as we celebrate where we’ve been, where we are, and where we’re going through our soft launch preview services.

SOFT LAUNCH PREVIEW PODCASTS

Week 386// July 13, 2014 // Packing Up

Sunday we took a little stroll down memory lane as we looked back at the last 7.5 years meeting at Fall Creek Intermediate School. We looked at our first video we ever produced, laughed as some stupid stuff we’ve done, and celebrated where we’ve been, where we are, and where we’re going and all that God is doing in between. Listen as Lead Pastor Curt Walters and Creative Director PJ Towle write their “Thank You Notes” from over the years.

Week 387// July 20, 2014 // Unpacking

If you study the life of Jesus you see He had very little to do with the average church person. He surrounded Himself with people who had doubts and didn’t have it all together. Listen to the first service at Crosspoint’s new Launch Pad as Lead Pastor Curt Walters shares how God runs after people who need help and challenges us to decide if we’re going to “be the church or just play church.”

Week 388// July 27, 2014 // Hydrating the Hills

Wouldn’t we all like to belong to a church where it’s ok not to have it all together? A place where you can explore and pursue an intimate relationship with God and also meaningful relationships with others? Listen as Lead Pastor Curt Walters describes how Crosspoint embodies such ideals.

Week 389// August 03, 2014 // #createculture

In our culture it’s common to project an image that says we have it all together. We show what we want people to see, not what really is. It’s called the “fig leaf syndrome.” Wouldn’t it be nice if church was a place we could bring all of our ‘junk’ and be real?” Listen as Lead Pastor Curt Walters shares what it means to be an authentic community and to be the people God calls us to be.

Week 390// August 10, 2014 // Finish It

In our last week of previews before Grand Opening, Curt invites 8 of the original 12 launch team members to the platform to tell their side of the story that brought them to XPT over seven years ago.
