Thrill Of Hope
At the center of every Christmas TV special or movie that you watch this season is HOPE. From Clark Griswald, Buddy the Elf, Ralphie Parker, George Bailey to the event that took place in a stable in Bethlehem, the Thrill of Hope is the through-line of every Christmas story. That same dynamic is what made the first Christmas so extraordinary. For generations, men and women had been waiting anxiously for the birth of their Messiah with no assurance that they would live to see him.
Like us, they probably wondered, “Is this really going to happen? After all, God has been silent for years. Has he forgotten about us?”
Have you ever had the same doubts? Wonder if God actually exists?
DOES HOPE REALLY EXIST?
Join us this December as we take a look at the Thrill of Hope that we find in the Christmas story.
Not sure about your thoughts on God or church? You’re welcome here. We’ll have friendly folks, great coffee, low lights and easy exits if you change your mind.

We have a nice little picture of what the first Christmas Story looked like, but let’s be honest… It probably wasn’t as serene as we think. Listen as Curt Walters explains Mary & Joseph’s story anyhow they rolled God’s plan, even though it was hard, because it was better.
Week 408// December 14, 2014 // You’re Worth Christmas
Our stories shape who we are. Our baggage, our struggles, our joys, our hopes. And no matter what we put into this Christmas season, the fact is you’re worth it. You’re worth God’s plan of sending his son, a savior, in the most unexpected way possible to rescue and restore the world. Your worth doesn’t come from you past, but from the future available to you.
