Consumed 2014
We’re all consumed by something. The Consumed Journey is designed to help free everyone who goes through the journey from the enslavement of materialism and to inspire people to give generously of their time and money to God’s kingdom
Purpose: to break the bonds of materialism to experience the freedom of living generously.

WHAT’S A JOURNEY?
A journey is a 6-week teaching series where everyone in the church gets on the same page. From the youngest kid’s class that has a lesson to the oldest person attending a weekend service, we’ll all dive in together on what it looks like to find ourselves at home, no matter where we are.
To experience the most out of a journey, someone’s week would look something like this:
Each part of the weekly rhythm is important, but possibly the most crucial piece of the journey is the small group discussion component.
+ GO TO THE WEEKEND MESSAGE.
Each journey week begins here. You’ll be immersed in the journey experience, provoked by art and creativity, and taught foundational truths for each week’s Kingdom topic.
It’s super important. Be there.
+ GO TO YOUR SMALL GROUP.
In this casual and relational environment, you share what you’re learning, encourage others, get encouraged, and maybe eat some chips (BYOC, though).
+ DO YOUR HOMEWORK.
At the end of each small group, you’ll receive a challenge to personally experiment with the week’s Kingdom topic. Do the guide stuff during the week and record what happens in this guide.

EXTRAS
For those of you techie types who feel more at home working off a tablet or you treehugger types who are trying to use less paper, download the digital copy of the Consumed Guide and read it in the PDF reader of your choice (BTW – we recommend that said reader allow for notes or you won’t get the full experience of the guide.)
PRAYER EXPERIENCE
Prayer is a pivotal part of exploring what it means to be consumed by God instead of all the noise and stuff that comes at us in the world. Whether you’ve never prayed before in your life, or prayer is a big part of your life – this will be a powerful experience in your growth.
The Consumed Prayer Experience is designed to spark a little God conversation. During this experience, we’re going to spend some time talking with God then we’re going to see if God wants to say anything back to us.
The entire experience will happen through a guided audio tour that takes about an hour, though you’re welcome to spend as much time as you’d like. Don’t forget to bring your smart phone or audio device and a pair of earbuds. Everyone must have their own listening device… it won’t work to share.
The prayer experience is a come-and-go experience, open from 9AM-7:30PM each day this week and is designed for students 5th grade and older and adults (no childcare is available).
