COMPARISON TRAP

We’ve all heard of win-win situations,
but daily we engage in lose-lose activities and we don’t realize just how destructive they are. Being rich(er) or smart(er) or funny(er) may feel like a short-term win, but due to the long-term effects on ourselves, our families, our marriages…
in the game of comparison,
there are no winners.

Join us MAY 13-27 as we get out of the Comparison Trap and into true win-win results.

WK 273// 051312 // THE “ER” FACTOR

Everybody wants more ‘-er”. To be richer, happi-er, fitt-er, thinn-er, sexi-er… and the list goes on. But wanting these kinds of things can put us in a pickle when someone comes in with mer “-er” than what we have. Then we compare, our motives get knocked out of whack, and we strive to be something that we’re not. In the series kick-off teaching, Curt lays out the basis for how we combat the “-er” factor and how we get good with what we have.

Everybody takes their cue from someone. But, where do we get our identity? Teaching Team member Julie Buchtenkirch takes a look at how we can take our cue on our identities from GOD and become a better, more whole person and not need to focus on the comparison of who’s better.
