BASICS.

Who is GOD? What about Jesus?
How can GOD be three people at once?
What’s GOD like?
What does it mean to follow Christ?

We’ve all probably asked questions like these many times in our lives. We’re finding that the generations of our culture are very interested in asking and exploring questions like these and other matter of GOD, but aren’t all that interested in church.

We’re taking a look at these very questions and unpacking the essentials of faith.

Ever feel like you need a “Spiritual Manual” for Dummies?
Often times the way we understand the BASICS influences how we experience and understand everything in life. To many of us, our understanding of spiritual things have been limited to assumptions based on what we can see, hear, touch, and at times need to be reset. In this week’s look at the BASICS, Lead Pastor Curt Walters explores the one of the essential understandings of faith: GOD is bigger and better and closer than you can imagine.

WK 213 // 032011 // JESUS.
When it comes to JESUS, let’s be honest — we have a lot of questions. Many of us have a picture of the kind of Jesus we want Him to be… but this ultimately leads us to a bigger question: which Jesus?

This week Curt Walters invites us to take a look at the GOD who got dirty with the world. The man people ran to, and ran from. The man who captained boats, ate meals with crooks and call girls, threw hillside parties, made kings panic. The man who brought the world an outlandish picture of life and then said, “Follow me.”

WK 214 // 032711 // GHOST.
From Scooby Doo & Ghostbusters to the Bible, we see evidence of the spirit realm.
Powerful and unpredictable, mysterious and tangible, invisible and real.
Defying easy description, the Holy Spirit is no vague and impersonal force. This week’s teaching Curt discusses the promised Counselor and Teacher who has been sent to equip us, comfort us and fill us personally with the very spirit, wisdom and power of God.

WK 215 // 040311 // GRACE.
In this week’s teaching Lead Pastor Curt Walters explains that God’s NOT Fair.

God loves us so deeply, that he sent his only son, Jesus, to die so the rest of us could live. Why would he do this? Well, the cost of making choices that separate us from GOD was spiritual death – at least until Jesus came and his death paid everyone’s debt.

That’s serious love – some call it UNFAIR… others say it’s OUTRAGEOUS & SCANDALOUS.

WK 216 // 041011 // GROW UP.
With maturity comes benefits. Grown-ups enjoy freedoms, authority and power that kids don’t experience. The same is true in our faith development. There are experiences of God we’ll never have until we grow up in our faith.

Some call this sanctification … others call it spiritual formation …
Listen as Lead Pastor Curt Walter unpacks the importance of GROWING UP!
