In the story of Joseph from the Bible we see that God gave Joseph dreams that could literally save his community.
This week, guest teacher Jeff Matas of Indiana Ministries brings to focus a pattern that we see in Joe’s life that mirrors our own when we strive to reach a God-given dream.
Week 434// June 14, 2015 // San Andreas – A Rescuer Descends
Jeff Matas of Indiana Ministries takes the platform again this week as we look at the summer epic of mass destruction: San Andreas. Jeff uses the film as a jumping point to explain that for someone to take on the role of a rescuer, they must put themselves in harms way, potentially even to death. Jeff explains that this is also true of Jesus’ life in the Bible. Listen as he explains the 7 steps Jesus took to rescue us.

This week, special guest teacher Vince Constantine joins the platform team looking at Jurassic World as he dives into what it means to be a dad. Looking at how control and respect plays into each role a father plays, Vince focuses more on the roles of mentor and coach and what the Bible has to say about raising our kids.

This week Julie Buchtenkirch sets the stage to discuss transformation. Susan Cooper (Melissa McCarthy) undergoes a number of transformations in the film Spy, however they’re external changes only. Julie discusses how real, lasting, internal change can be found by accepting that we were created to have a new identity.

Emotions aren’t a bad thing. In fact, we see that God has a way to help us handle our emotions. And one of the big ways we see that is through prayer. This week, Lead Pastor Curt Walters is back walking us through some prayerful steps to deal with how we feel.

Stress, anxiety, fear and phobia’s are kissing cousins that all forecast into the future that bad stuff is coming our way.
